this is day two... And its rainy, well at least it's warm.
After i have arrived at the hotel my room wasn't ready yet, so i dumped my suitcase, recharged all my gadgets - god i hate modern battery life cycles - and went straight to the city parks to have a little stroll and catch a little glimpse on whats avaiting me in the last week of my trip. Just for a reminder, I planned to see Byron Bay and the wedding in the first week. Next tuesday i'll be flying to Meldbourne for a couple of days and return to Sydney the weekend after that.
So anyways - after a little tuning in i was totally flabbergasted. I just love this city from what I have seen so far! It reminds me a little bit of Boston with its own European flair. And i instantly felt relaxed on that sunny Springday down under.
Strolling through Hyde Park and the Royal Botanical Garden was the perfect choice for me after this exhausting flight, which was paying it's toll right after i claimed my room back in the hotel. I fell into a deep slumber and woke up panicked! I didn't really know how long i've been sleeping so i assumed it was the next morning already, time to leave for Byron Bay. Holy Moly!
After i calmed down and realized it was 6pm not 6am I decided to check out Chinatown to grab some foods. But thats another story... so little time. I really have to check out know and get some things before i go to the airport.
I'll just leave a little teaser for you guys. Got some really cool shots of Sydney on my first day. Cant wait to see them on a real computer.
So, I'll be leaving to Byron Bay, sleeping in a tourist village bunk house. Its more like a camping place, so i'm not sure if i'll be able to log on there. But since i got myself a prepaid card for my cell phone including a 100mb data rate i'll be able to do the minimum... assuming i have reception on the beach ;)
So long all and stay tuned.
